By accessing or using Beckon ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Beckon provides a URL shortening service and form builder platform that allows users to create short links, track click analytics, build forms, collect submissions, and manage these through a web-based dashboard. The Service includes free and paid subscription tiers with varying feature limits.

3. Account Terms

• You must provide a valid email address and accurate information to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service.
• One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account.
• You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Create short links to malware, phishing sites, or other malicious content.
• Distribute spam or unsolicited messages using short links or forms.
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users or third parties.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems.
• Use the Service to collect personal data without proper consent.
• Create links or forms that contain or promote illegal content.

We reserve the right to disable any short link, form, or account that violates these terms without prior notice.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Beckon and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of all content you create using the Service, including your short links, forms, and collected data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6. Payment and Billing

• Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis.
• All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or at our sole discretion.
• You are responsible for all taxes associated with your use of the Service.
• We may change our pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
• Downgrading your plan may result in loss of access to features or capacity. We are not liable for any such loss.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may cancel your account at any time through the dashboard settings. Upon cancellation, your data will be retained for 30 days to allow for account recovery, after which it will be permanently deleted. You may request immediate deletion of your data by contacting us.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beckon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Short links that have already been created will continue to redirect for a reasonable period following any discontinuation.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
